Looks like we've got some heavier stuff coming our way soon

Finger crossed Phil, want to get a snow depth over 10cm so just need a cm which should be doable.

10cm is what I personally classify as 'significant'

First time since March 2018 that I had to shovel the snow from the drive lol

Thick blanket now and the powder snow is coming down heavy, must be at least 12cm. In disbelief at how well this day has gone.IMG_20210124_171422777.thumb.jpg.2e01ab885daa86c44c2ac1ea1def0c60.jpg

The snizzle is picking up in intensity now with bigger flakes mixed in. Let's all hope it holds its intensity on its way back south

I had 2 inches earlier, then a thaw from 11, iv now for 1.5cm and nothing on other surfaces, I lived in the cotswolds for 6 years had loads up there now iv split from the x and living at 59msl it's a killer,

However we have an interesting night I think and it be good to see how much we get because atm it's kept alive really well and building to the north west which bodes well as it slips S.E

Yeah its snowing tbh it never really stopped snowing it just is that very fine snow, so difficult to tell if its snowing from the lamppost.

Would like those big fat flakes that we saw in the morning

What on earth! No PPN within 15 miles of us on the radar, again, but it's started snowing moderately, covering gaps where people had walked on it earlier I hope we can get another 2-3 hours of this!

That's another thing that I've learnt from this event, even the radar can be wrong.

I wonder if the Met Office have there own superior radar which is not for public view

So the amber finally comes out (still not convinced by the validity of one) however isn't the worst set to move south now?!

Don’t you mean ‘the best’?❄️⛄

Please don't eat the yellow snow, looks like the Met office are telling you as well now

Same heavier and flakes have got a bit bigger. Outside has the bright reddish hue that you get when there's snow cover, amazing
