It was painful when it was heading north this morning!

I think Oldbury, just a few miles away, already had a couple of cm by the time it started getting heavy enough here!

Well originally in yesterday’s forecast was touch or go, so I would of been very happy with what I’ve had.

But what the hell  this is phase 2 ...Bonus time for us this evening BRING IT ON

That’s pretty exceptional. Must be a very small area that’s in 20cm+ Zone including your area. Really surprised an amber warning wasn’t issued for some parts today.

Why issue an amber? Impacts are low, it's Sunday in a national lockdown, there should be no need.

Can't believe an amber warning hasn't been issued tbh I think it's widely 10cm+ now.

Seems to be spinning to the North of Brum, not reall much southwards movement

It is, latest radar frames now have it coming down over Penkridge from Stafford. The issue will be how quickly it weakens and fizzles out now.

You never know, if it eventually pulls away to the south east, it might drag a north westerly behind it and open up the Cheshire Gap!

I'm joking...of course...

BBC and Met Office showing zero interest at the moment, even if models look good.

Still gentle light flurries here, nothing substantial.

Other than the 15/20 min little flurry, it's 'dry as a bone' up here  and that's despite being directly under the heavy colours of the radar, Wind must be absolutely belting away higher up to blow everything away from where it's initially falling.

Dont think its quite as clear cut as that any more lol. Still the arpege alone is not the most reliable and i haven't viewed other outputs.
