There is a movement south...no doubt about it. Watching the greens consume Stafford again on the radar, but from the north east this time, shows it.

Derby the sweet spot it seems, a little jealous as it was never meant to get that far north but I guess the East Midlands hasn't seen much this season!

Not sure about that. This is the 5th occasion it has snowed in Notts and it is not even Feb yet. Most snow events I have seen in many years!

Anyone near Derby here? How much settled snow do you have at the moment?

I'm 7 miles north of Derby and currently have 3.5 inches.Still coming down hard too.

Belting it down over Longton.

Had a very light shower but nothing on the Ground here mate. Seemed to get as far North as Longton and that's about it.

Technically 200 yards down the A34 from our House we move into Cheshire, so also tend to do better when it comes from the Northwest. Also closer to Manchester than Birmingham here so makes sense.

In this part of Stoke we've had about 30 mins of steady snow but little settling,  the intensity has just picked up, see how long that lasts

Nothing in kidsgrove

We haven't had any precipitation over us for a few hours according to the radar but I dont think it has actually stopped snizzling.

Lokks like my son may be having a snow day tomorrow as nursery will probably close. He's just recovered from Covid and first day out of isolation today. He's loving the snow now

4cm in centre of Belper. Double that outside of town.

Moderate snow here covering quickly, with barely anything on on the radar.

This could be pretty good when the heavier stuff gets here

Quite a few weather systems do that when we get heavy rain move in from the south west. The radar shows it has cleared but we still get a period of gunk and drizzle to get through before it clears.

Nicer in these circumstances obviously!

Still plenty on offer ( intensity) as I’m starting to see it sink south, but painfully

My sister lives Meir Heath and has lots of snow this season... we’ve had limited amounts but today!! Nearing 20cm Alton Staffs and still falling!! Love it!!

It’s an absolute winter wonderland here. Heaviest snow of the winter so far. Can’t believe other parts of snow are missing it looking at the radar.

It was painful when it was heading north this morning!

I think Oldbury, just a few miles away, already had a couple of cm by the time it started getting heavy enough here!

Despite nothing above me on the radar and the system sitting just to my north it’s snowing well again. Looking good for the next couple of hours ??

It's amazing! Went out for a 2.5hr walk, it was a white out! And beautiful...   At  least 5cm on the flat & 10+ on the hills. Since back home at 3 p.m. it hasn't stopped. Got fine & pellet like but now its thick & heavy again. All footprints from 3 are covered wow

Shame the front is starting to decay now as it heads South, but still getting decent light to moderate snow.
