Looks like it's now stopped here. Is this thing actually going to push back or are we done for the day? Hoping for a good hard freeze tonight before the big melt by Tuesday. Just over 5cm on a flat surface possibly more in some parts. Actually feels deeper than that though!

Absolute blizzard just along the canal just south of Longton but still it dies completely the instant it touches Stoke. Amazing.

Suns out at the moment here, BUT! there's a massive dark cloudbank to the SE and looking at the radar it's beginning to pivot and head directly towards us, got everything I can cross crossed in the hope it doesn't pitter out.

Well iv heard this by 2 members on hear now, yes it's slowed down and yes it's back built in one area toward Peterborough a bit but I can't see it moving westwards again so can you back this up? I'm hopeful lol

Lol  eyes may be playing tricks  but the front seems to be moving westwards    of course could be totally wrong   I suppose we will see in next hour or so

The band is about as north as it will go on its western side. Eastern side still swinging north on the circulation but won't get any further than Lincoln.

Met office has a 50% risk of light snow again from 3pm, escalating from then up to a 90% risk of heavy snow at 6pm, so will be interesting to see if that’s correct.

I'm about a mile or so away from you in Maypole. Wythall always looks beautiful in the snow.

Dandruff flakes getting heavier again. Building from the East, but needs to stop moving North now. Who would have thought we would be asking for Southern corrections this time yesterday.

Edit- flakes getting bigger now

Edit 2- moderate snow

Automated forecast showing heavy snow later in West Midlands, its seems to be slowing the northern  movement with the energy moving from East to west, hopefully should start dropping soon

Moderate snow still falling here. Temp peaked at 0.6C but now down to 0.2C, hopefully going well below freezing tonight. If the front is still potent as it slowly drops back south I wouldn't be surprised if a few areas breach 15cm by the end.

Absolute winter wonderland down here, and I’ll probably find there’s nothing when I get back to Longton.

Dunno about that, looking down the valley to the SSE I can't see the hill that Bentilee is on anymore, there's just a white wall of nothing beyond Bucknall.

Winter wonderland this morning in Pershore, albeit in amongst the flood water but has melted a bit since. My mum reporting 7.5cm or so in Market Harborough so far this pm.
