Weird how things work isn't it?!

Great even here in South Staffs, got to be almost 3 inches now. Close to 2 hours of very heavy (orange) snow with massive flakes. Took all of 10 minutes to go from nothing to white over.

This time yesterday the front looked like it would barely make it to Birmingham, now we are 30 miles North of Birmingham trying to cling on to the light stuff as it clears out. Hopefully it pivots back southwards and tops us up. Doesn't look likely though.

@MattStoke is that front still falling South tommorrow?

Tuesday looks like it could be close to another marginal snowfall.

Probably no more than a dusting now but just to the south and east seeing a lot. The instant it hit Stoke on the radar, it started to fall apart.

If this comes back South like models forecast, parts of the Black Country could be heading towards 15cm by the end of it all.

Already hit 10cm. Going up Lickey hills in a minute for some Winter Olympics lol.

A good covering in Evesham . From merely a historical perspective snow from the West and settling in this part of the world is pretty rare. I remember growing up back in the 1970s and we had a few snow events coming in from the West and it always turned to rain and melted quickly. ......

Heavy snow now, approaching whiteout with a nice snow mist going on. Finally gone above the patchy dusting stage after 7 (SEVEN) near misses. Good 2-3cm so far.

Radar watching makes this sort of thing painful! We've had a good 3-4 cm in Telford and it's still misting down, best snow of the year so far, but I can't help but look at the pasting Wolves and Birmingham have had just down the road
