Come on get to Leicester I hope I haven’t jinxed it I’ve told the kids now

The ultimate jinx! When I got up the band was headed straight for me, multiple snow symbols on the met app, so I thought it was safe to tell my daughter...now it's somehow not snowing! Just hoping to get something when it pivots round now.

The main band is slowly closing in on Hinckley. Will get get here and maintain its intensity. Fingers crossed. If it goes to normal form it will stall just to the south west and pivot. Let's see

My son saw the weather yesterday and got all excited, I told him the weather man is talking out his bum, when you wake up in the morning there will be no snow. Guess what.... lol!! Don't like been a pessimist but better that him waking up to this thinking we was going to get snow. Hate been right!

This is a dire situation here (Stratford). There's clearly some splitting going on and we seem to perfectly positioned in the centre of it!

Coventry to Northampton looks ideally placed right now imo, Leicester perhaps the Northern limit.

Shane, honestly, don't write this one off yet. Telford still looks to be in a good position. Assess it again at around 10-11am and see what kind of snowfall you have by then. I would expect at least 5cm for Telford, by the time this is over

Not sure about elsewhere but the light stuff ahead of the main band of snow didn't actually result in any snow falling up to now.

Coming down really well and sticking with no problem.

I think it will push through here giving us a nice covering as it does so.

But yeah, whoever ends up under that pivot is in for something special.

My money is on Leicester.

I am hoping you are right Andy, it just looks like the band is fizzing out right over us. My lad just wants to build a snowman ⛄
