That is clearly further South. Looks great for the mids still in terms of North and South boundary it can't miss us. Its also increasing in intensity. Next trial Welsh mountains

Interesting how people in the North West thread are now getting Snow symbols. Perhaps it's set to miss the mids, and start from Stone Northwards

Andy look at the radar mate lol. It would have to go straight North to miss us lol.

Haha, only joking mate. We in North Staffs / South Cheshire border have done OK this time for a change, so don't begrudge you guys further South in the Mids getting more this time lol

The Welsh mountains usually zap the life out of a band of rain/snow but, I think this time may be different. If we can at least get some moderate PPN to stall over the Midlands for a good 3-6 hours, we should see some decent accumulations in some parts.

If that actually comes off, we may FINALLY see some lying snow here, in Northampton I'm crossing everything

Just started here in the S Wales Valleys. Fine powdery snow instantly covering everything. Great to see

Reports of snow in Neath and Port Talbot both at sea level

The midlands should do v well indeed and the band is way bigger than I anticipated too

Cwmbach! My cousin, who I live with at the moment, used to live in Cwmdare and played for the 'Cwmbach Royal stars' youth team Small world.

Wouldn't write it off just yet, Matt! Going to be a case of radar watching from here on in.

It looks decent for you Matt going by the radar. West and East mids looks good for 5 to 15cms.

We had a shower near Kettering yesterday, that turned everything white within about three minutes

Yep sickening- even a few hrs of light snow would have left a covering that stuck through the day and night.

The front is pivoting, with the pivot point around Anglesey. If it was a simple W-E movement then yes it would be OK.
