That eastern lot that missed Shropshire has made it all the way to the M1. The western lot vanished as soon as it hit Shropshire. Its bizarre, and it happens so often. Shropshire repels so much weather, except cloud which it attracts.

Very very light flurry here right now.

In fact, even flurry is probably a bit of an exaggeration. But definetly a few flakes floating around.

well we have really made the most out of these NW airstreams bringing in beefy showers.

non stop snow here from 8am, still snowing now, most of time its been moderate to heavy. Bad road conditions on hills, 4x4s only really.

I am starting to think this winter is turning out pretty OK imby - this will be the 6th fall of snow since December, all falls settled, all causing travel issues for a few hours, and

its only 23 Jan with maybe more wintry stuff to come over next 2 to 8 weeks. March always seems to be a snowy month here, so fingers crossed for more fun

Methinks they’ll be more than just a few flakes floating around in an hour or so

incoming from the Northwest

Light snow here amazed it made over the vacum of Shropshire. Still counting it now 10th snowfall of the Winter.

Had a good couple hours of moderate/occasionally heavy snow here, absolutely nothing has settled though, Dew Points must be too high!

Well they've made further progress than the last batch, halfway across Shropshire. They can die very very quickly so won't be convinced until I see the snow falling.

So my Thoughts on Sunday’s front .... firstly it’s being driven by some very cold air and as yet is still not clear how it might fill and grow or which direction it may take .... however I feel it will be more potent than what’s beign forcast also I think the pivotal point of it may hang around for a few hours .... radar watching is the key but my guess is places slightly SW of Birmingham could be in for 3 -4 hours of constant heavy snow and  places slightly north and east of that an hour or 2 of similar.... all to play for and some good falls in place ❄️ ❄️❄️❄️ ❄️

That blob around Whitchurch seems to be holding together but its going too far east again, heading for a slide down the Staffs border. Going out to walk the dog in a minute, will see if I can find some snow while staying local, that's a big challenge with Shropshire in lockdown!

Thought it looked black over your way. Think we've actually got some growing of our own in the area.

Still bright sunshine here.

Yh showers popping up all over the Mids now very hit and miss. Tomoz downgraded on Met app and upgraded for mates in Yeovil clear as day the next model run will show it further South. South mids event I think.

NMM 0.05 6z is my favourite solution. Hotspot around southern areas of Staffordshire/Derbyshire/Leicestershire that haven't had a snow day yet despite being wedged between snowy Brum, Stoke and the peaks.

Is 6 inches+ a possibility? Apparently so if you were going by this chart. Roll on tomorrow
