Wow. Not been on here for a while but really heavy snow here in Lower Penn, just outside of Wolverhampton and winter wonderland outside.

What has shocked me is the intensity of the snow and how quickly it has settled on all surfaces. Pretty amazing after how mild it was earlier and how wet it was.

Just taken a peep   winter wonderland outside    i know some have been nashingteeth on the MOD thread   but we have had worse winters   regarding snowfall

Oh it’s been a good winter here but I think its been another very poor one for most low lying areas of the country.

Snow here now also, very rapid changeover & temp drop. Not sure we’ll get much more than a bit of a covering at best though as heaviest stuff looks to be moving away east now. Lighter stuff to come.

Still hasn't turned and band rapidly weakening. Cannot believe the difference in snow this year between here and places 10 miles west of me every single time.

I think the Gods are toying with us. Playing us East Midlanders as fools. It's all some kind of big weather conspiracy

Seeing some flakes now but what's the point, the band will have gone past in 10 minutes, 10 miles too far east for the 5th time this winter.

Still Blizzarding it down outside, can't even see the houses 2 streets down the valley slope below!  Just stuck a tape measure into snow on top of car too, good 2 inches

This winter has been very frustrating around here. Rain, rain and more rain. No decent snowfalls so far this winter. Hopefully we can get some of it tonight.

Radar looks insane for the West mids. Some heavy stuff incoming. We are in the moderate stuff at present heavy incoming. Some of us in the West mids have been lucky in a rubbish Winter generally so far.

Every model actually has several cm of snow for the North West Midlands late tonight. Given how warm the ground will be, I think it’s unlikely. One to watch though.

Some models bring through at least one feature across the Midlands during the weekend. Another one to watch.

The continual risk of wintry showers in between.

Oops.
