Even though this band has missed us, still got a nice little half covering from the light stuff yesterday evening. It was never anything more than light snow for an hour or 2 tbh.

But just shows that you don’t really need much of an ‘event’ to give a decent covering if the conditions are right, altitude helps too of course.

Met just updated MY area for snow all through the day and early evening with heavy snow in the afternoon they obviously think that lot will swing a tad further East we shall see.

Heavy drizzle here now, what was there melting away, may be time soon to wave goodbye to this "event".

Nothing at all here in Nottingham, disappointing but sadly was projected to go to the west!

Now showing no more snow up here. Some models did have precipitation reinvigorating to the south of me, so it could be that.

The covering we had here last night has all but disappeared now this is how it’s been this cold spell every time it snowed it disappeared with an hours worth of some places here in Birmingham have done really really well. From the snow full point of view I must see some parts of the Midlands done excellent work as other part not so good thumb haven’t even seen snow this cold spell. I know lot of people saying the SSW will help out some work later on in the month I somehow cannot see it nothing on the model yet as far. image.thumb.png.79698c2b6e25bc0b148bd7c92dcb6bdd.pngimage.thumb.png.460b110f401077cab5fcfd8f5d98f09e.pngimage.thumb.png.f752d1322e353540132610f40f80084e.pngimage.thumb.png.55b3f6bcb12ce08847fcfbb8fc313d26.png

Drizzle here. Ah well. It's been a decent little run. Time for a reset and hopefully something better in a week or two's time.

Worst cold ish spell ever really for snow in the east mids. Starting to think even if i drew the synoptic charts to how i thought would get us aload of snow it would still end up being 50/50

Surprised to wake up and see a sprinkling of snow on the ground after all that frustration last night, only a cm or so but it's full cover. Looking at the radar it seems to be that band to the SSE of the clump over Wales that did it. And it was just in time for 9am so 2021 at least will not be a year without snow lying!

More tonight? Not being greedy but the M6 corridor owes us at least another 2 or 3 snowfalls

I’m very surprised to see the reports of drizzle and wet snow tbh, no sign at all of a thaw and light snow on and off continuing

Drizzle here everything will now be rain. Funny how you can get drizzle with no precipitation on the radar. But then no snow with reds and dark blues above.

Will see what happens rest of winter.

Not supprised at all looks like may catch the edge of somthing later and will get soaked at work lol.
