Fair few gfs ensembles have higher precipitarion rates for friday so hopefully upgrade in 18z!!!

Usually before a snow event precipitation generally upgrades for up here.... I see netweather forecast is only 0.35mm for here though currently

that was wrong last night but was snow showers but too infrequent to lay....

On the flip side the Arpege basically has nothing for majority of the midlands

Not holding out much hope for here it's cursed or somthing.

Very happy with cold though.

BBC are so scared to get it wrong they don't show it til it is happening others than that it's mild.

regardless of what it shows  i always rate the Hirlam as the best short range model.

It shows a band of snow Friday  perhaps more intense than other show.

I know “glacier point “ used to rate this model ??

Shows plenty of snowfall over many hours but not much settling. Don’t understand it. It has dew points and soil temperatures at 0 or below throughout.

Going on GFS you’d think that would warrant atleast a yellow warning ⚠️ ⛄

GFS snow accumulation

Not sure how snow manages to fall onto frozen surfaces and melt.

This looks right because I am in the bit with no snow.
