Been snowing lightly here for almost 2 hours now. Hasn't amounted to more than a dusting and the thin covering on the roads will doubtless melt as soon as it stops as it's up to 1.3 °C even with a few flakes still coming down, but a nice unexpected bonus!

Big flakes now, real 50p stuff! Will obviously not last long when it stops, but it's very nice to look at for now. Incredible to think that this one shower alone is better than the whole of the 2019/20 winter for snow here!

few light flurries earlier here, but thawing out now, wonder if any snow will survive today? other than dying snowmen

Completely underwhelming and nonsense warning in my opinion. Snow only over the highest ground? I’m pretty sure that will be wrong.

Another thin covering of snow this morning with showers arriving, with perfect timing, around 0730 and continuing until 1000. Dry with a few bright intervals at the moment and most of the snow has thawed. Current temp' is 0.7c.

Met not making much of Friday's snow risk 1-3cm and patchy. But they been wrong before and still plenty of time for change. Cold looks like hanging on for longer, nice frost and dandruff this morning.

Woke up to dandruff covering, but melted fast, still got quite a bit of snow from the 6 or so inches that fell previously, though that's melting quick now. It's warm enough here that there's knats dancing over the top of the garden hedge.

Wonder if the PPN currently in the NE will make it to the mids currently in York area.

It's got up to about 5C today, considering it's been at 0 or in the minuses for the last week, I'd say that it's quite warm in comparison.

Max temp was 2C here and now back at 0C it’s going to be a cold one tonight.

Good afternoon all.

Been out and about today just finished, nice and fresh today with blue skies sun in my eyes alot whilst driving reflecting off the roads, not so nice.

Around 4c for most of the day just dropped to 1c now so should be cold.

missed out on the dusting this morning as usual.  Nice to see some got a few flakes.

Abit more positive today was having a moan about our luck with cold yesterday.

Snowfall charts look good for later in the week will take them with a pinch of salt as seen them many times before and seen cold rain.

Something to look forward too anyway.

Will just check how the mod thread is if I dare.
