Latest 12z Netweather Medium range model doesn't get any frontal PPN much further north than Devon on Thurs/Fri, and even here it is patchy.  Looks very similar to recent GFS & ICON output;

A few dandruff flurries in the wind, and looks like we may make an ice day...

Think this cold spell has been a real let down across the board really. I'm convinced my location will see snow tomorrow morning as a streamer swings north I expect to see a dusting at least!

Wednesday's fax chart has a line of convergence across Central Southern areas, which should give anything forming more chance of making it further South and West.

Not to much to report since our Morning spell apart from the odd flurry, but now we have gone back to light persistent snow (Dandruff)

Shaping up to be complete gash this spell. At least as far as this week is concerned for here.

Good chat that on the back of stronger winds too.

It will, as expected, chop and change further no doubt.  However, it was always looking cold and dry for the foreseeable for our area really.

FWIW, that Netweather model continues the cold and dry theme for our area right through the weekend too, maybe hitting the dizzy heights if 3c;

It feels like it's going in forever.

It has tried to very lightly snow a few time where I am right now. MO app has put a few more spells of snow tomorrow/Wednesday on there now, so who knows? I know the app isn't usually correct, but nice to see!

True, it does bring PPN further into the region on Friday, but it's very patchy and fragmented for areas further north and east though.

Like I keep saying though, no doubt things for the end of the week will chop and change still.  Maybe the high Res modelling that comes into play over the next few days can offer something more substantial?

Off topic but do you mean these? I’ve noticed them recently too, have tried Googling but can’t find anything. Anyone else know?

No. I think those are airfields Look like landing strips to me. I haven't got a picutre of the triangle but maybe someone else has. It's a gap on the radar which shows a triangle of no precipitation when infact its pouring with rain or something!

I was in Locks Heath then. Brilliant event that was - had to abandon my car in Bursledon tesco and walk the rest of the way home from work.

It was well funny!! We headed off to Germany for the Christmas markets to see snow. Knowing there would be some there. There was 1 inch! When we came home that day they were forecast 6 inches. We were gutted to go all that far for only 1 inch. Got home and as we were driving down the M3 the deeper it got! Til we got home and we had 7 inches. It was epic!! We were sooo lucky to get home! It was about 10pm or something and still going lol.

Not heard this phrase for a while but it sums up our chances well.
