Cheers mate sounds promising. To be honest I shouldnt whinge as we've had a half decent covering a few weeks back. Hopefully others who havent had any will get lucky!

Currently +1.1c here with a Dp of -3.3c

It's actually relatively sunny but that wind is absolutely bitter.  Stings the face when exposed to it.

There's a developing plop of heavier PPN heading very slowly SW, currently over Bedfordshire area.

Don't think it's going to get to me but definitely something to watch for Oxfordshire/Wiltshire members etc.

If it maintains its intensity it has the potential to give a cm or so for lucky members to the east/north east of the region;

Watch it disappear as it hits Oxford now.

Does anyone know why nominally the same NE airflow causes the shower pattern to appear so different over East Anglia and the South-East (larger smudges of light/medium-intensity precipitation) whereas The Wash northwards it is a more typical shower pattern with many small blobs of medium/high-intensity?

I was thinking the same thing myself. Further south, the remnants of Darcy?

I’m logging off till next winter, that’s me done guys! So much potential but unfortunately poor show for us in the south/southwest. Unfortunately flurries don’t excite me! We could of had a snow event Friday as our last chance but Atlantic isn’t making it in. All the best till next winter

im watching that snow coming in from the channel to the east, hoping it will travel along the coast a bit, has a more north westerly direction to it though i think

Think your jumping the gun a bit based on latest developments today tonight and tomorow. Winds are going to change and pick up with an expected streamer making it further inland than first thought. Winds will help push further into Dorset.

I'll report on intensity (or otherwise) in around 25 mins! On paper it looks decent but could just be Mr Lighty McSnizzleface again.

Settled a tiny bit in Shanklin IoW but stopped now  Does anyone know if that’s it for us or will we get a bit more??

There won't much during the day Today just the odd flurry here and there, but I'm fairly confident we may get a bit more much later this Evening and into the night which will  likely give an extra dusting :). The far South of the Island will be mostly affected though I reckon.

Would that include the Isle of Wight?

Personally I can't see any correlation between models and actual snow. I'd say anyone could get something in the next 48 hours. Small chance of a channel streamer affecting Shanklin as a bonus for you!

Looks like that developing area of heavier snow is going to miss me but a line from Oxford to Swindon and then further SW from there looks possible to get a few cm if it reaches you:

image.thumb.png.a42edee211ef41d7fc0f5754c05b21d7.png

It does seem to be expanding though currently so hopefully I will just catch the southern edge of it. Still snowing lightly here as I type.

Worth noting, as someone else said earlier, the snow will get blown around in the wind a lot, so the intensity on the ground won't necessarily match the intensity on the radar at the same place.

Your might be in luck later as the more heavier pulses reach your area!
