It was snowing last night around midnight, went crazy for all of 5mins, car roof still has remnants

The snowflakes have disappeared, leaving only the graupel.

Right that's the winters snowfall done, time to move on

Yeah I spotted only a few flakes on my blink cams, I live in Parkstone. I just want enough for a snow ball. 1cm will do

GFS for Friday, front just about makes it in for most. Devon and Cornwall looking well placed at the moment...

Has the front tomorrow faded away, or is that still on?

Only got time to flick through the models this morning but looks like there are still some snow chances over the next few days, probably more likely tomorrow as the wind swings round to a more E/ENE direction:

GFS 00z for tomorrow lunchtime:

Arpege 00z for the next 48 hrs:

The snow at the moment to my east seems to only be making it as far as the A34 from Oxford to Southampton but hopefully something will make it further later!

Pretty much the same as everywhere else in the region.

Predominantly dry, cold to very cold.  Odd snow flurry could occur at any time.

Unfortunately i dont see anything that convinces me in the output apart from light grains all week for here, there is nothing that that suggests anything other than that. Not even confident the low end of the week will make it that far west.

For now I'll be happy to see some grains falling.

The snow line has made it across the A34 and we have some very light snow now fingers crossed it's makes it further over to the West

Set the bar at zero and then you won’t be disappointed!

Latest UKV extended for Thursday night into Friday still shows the front making it over many parts of the West Country;

Worth noting a couple of things;

- this is a higher res model, used frequently by the Meto etc, so whilst far from infallible still, would hopefully have a better handle at the situation than some low Res global modelling.

- it shows quite a prolonged fall of snow over inland parts of Devon, circa 12 hours or so.

- for balance, it does show a return to less cold conditions after the front has passed through, for most of the region (ie next weekend onwards).  However, this is still a fair way off yet, as we have seen the "breakdown" go from Thursday to Friday and now to the weekend.

Thanks @AWD. Really wish I'd taken up the winter sale offer for NW Xtra now! What is the the UKV showing for today/tmrw?

From this mornings run. On the edge of the snow / graupel that hit Cheltenham last night. Not talking much - maybe 0.4cm - but enough to turn everything white. Also as so cold & powdery actually saw drifting and drifts of up to 3-4cm and a very small snow whirl/tornado (not quite sure what to call that).

In some of the pics you can see in the distance where it hasn’t snowed. Prob 1cm somewhere in the middle of the band.
