Under the moderate blue bit of the precipitation on the right where the streamer turns into a blob. Yes, it's light snow at 0.3C.

In a bizarre reversal of Abingdon fortunes when it comes to snow showers, I have ended up under practically the only moderate-heavy radar echo in the entire region. In spite of horizontal nature of the snow it seems to be providing a covering at -0.4C.

Good morning all,

Just stuck my head out of the back door and found light Graupel falling.

Same here. Hopefully something a little more substantial falls from the sky today.

Showers seems to be holding it together as they approach our region.

Best of luck everyone! I'm off to work in my windowless tin can building, so can only rely on radar and the occasional sticking my head out of the front door.

Dry this morning, hard frost-2.6 and still windy, too cold for the dog even and he's an Alaskan Malamut and came back in almost straight away!

Hopeful of some snow later looking at the radar

Here in Portsmouth the wait goes on for our first covering of Snow this Winter. Hopefully we will get in on the action , showers forcasted to spread more Westwards during the next couple of days.

Looks a good rash of showers in the East, more than predicted? If so, will they make it this far West?

Morning All clear skies with the overnight low of -2.1°C at: 07:09, with the wind in from the N/NE, providing a large degree of windchill this morning, currently “feels like” -5°C..

Morning everyone. We had a good dusting from the snow that reached us last night ❄️so very happy to have that.

Currently -3.1c and a few snow flakes blowing in the wind.

Looking at the radar for last night, looks as though a few to the west and sw of me will have had a dusting as well, but it fizzled out before it got to Bristol.

Haven't gone through the models yet but the radar is showing lots of light snow steadily advancing SW so fingers crossed it makes it to our region intact:

Lots of radar watching today I think!

The larger piece out east is decaying but it will have small section south of it which keeps slightly more intact which looks to hit IOW later. Still nothing really substantial but should bring the most flakes so far.

Morning from a cold and still bloody dry, Poole. One word for us in the south west - FIZZLE. The one time in years where the ppn would be cast on snow and its fizzles before getting here. Shove off NE winds, we need an Easterly!

It was snowing last night around midnight, went crazy for all of 5mins, car roof still has remnants

The snowflakes have disappeared, leaving only the graupel.

Right that's the winters snowfall done, time to move on

The Littlehampton snow shield is broken, still not enough to throw a snowball, but nice to see nevertheless ?️
