Weird, I'm about 10mins - if that - from that location and diddly squat here. Shows how insanely localised these showers can be. Can't even see that on the radar!

Is the radar picking up something over exmoor?

Fascinating, or maybe sad! That I've been watching the little streamer form over the Bristol Channel heading in over Minehead and surrounding areas around Exmoor

Yes I noticed there was nothing at all on the radar there so I was surprised how heavy it looked just now. Seems to have gone back to a few flakes blowing in the wind again now.

You aren’t alone!!

The wind is really picking up here now. At least if all else fails, it’ll be dry

Precipitation looks like it’s picking up a bit across reading way

Imagine living in Norwich and looking at the radar all day, now that is depressing.

I'd been thinking that, especially as I lived in Norwich from 2007 to 2011.  However, I've been into the East Anglia/south east thread and it looks like although Norwich largely missed out for most of the day, the radar has been glitching recently and it has been snowing there.

Quite a few small patches of precip popping up as others fade, it might not be much, but a blob here and a blob there can mean a dusting for someone.

Wind has picked up a bit more here, and the stars keep disappearing then reappearing.

Guessing if that streamer keeps its slight westerly component, Swindon way might get a little bit.

That streamer all the way from Cambridge is nearly over me now...

Should continue moving west I think.

Anyone in the Southampton area? Getting some decent snowfall right now, looks heavier than what radar suggests?

Hi gang ,I've just noticed the Fax charts have just updated .Frjday mid day looks good for our area ,a long way off but we do have the professionals on our side if real snow is your thing .Of course at this range it could be Thursday thats  are lucky day ,in years gone by Thursday was often the day for snow to start  if the synoptics were ok ,cheers .

Well there's a sight I didn't expect to see. Let the dogs out into the garden to be greeted by light snow from broken cloud

The Bournemouth snow shield has been (just about) breached!

Another steady flurry, more snowy this time, from a small patch that just popped up. It's dandruff but I do enjoy the random nature of these little events and it's nice timing for it: no melt!

Strangely though Arpege is not showing any of the snow currently on the radar over the NE:

Same here Khodds, I actually have to concentrate tomorrow and this isn't helping me get shut eye but it's just too nice to watch!
