GFS shows the front just touching Cornwall at midnight Thursday...lets hope it makes progress inland before fizzling.

EDIT,  it fizzles.... although im not convinced on the eventual outcome just yet.

I’ve lost my positive attitude of yesterday and now see no hope on the horizon. I know we are less than a day in but it looked so promising a few days ago

Pull yourself together!

I'm looking forward to my 5 min flurry this winter.

Chin up.

The forecast hasn't really changed between a few days ago and now.

You are in a half decent position.  I would go high and aim for a 15 minute flurry of I were you.

Nooo not you too Khodds.  There's not many positive posters left.

I recommend reading the posts a few days before the epic March 1st 2018 spell. Lots of crying and whinging only a few days before it happened. We know what happened next. Chin up fella

Sorry, you aren't in as good a position as @Nights King

You'll do well for a 7 minutes flurry.

Your asl is irrelevant.  Marginality is one thing we don't have to worry about over the next few days.

Anything that falls from the sky for our area will be of snow.  The trouble is finding something to fall from the sky.

Met Office outlook doesn’t even mention transitional snow, which surprises me:

“Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday and Wednesday will be cloudy, with a chance of snow showers along southern coasts on Tuesday. Rain moves in Thursday. Continuing to be very cold with brisk easterly winds.”

“Chance of snow showers along southern coasts on Tuesday”

really?

Lets hope we get the stalling front followed by cold victory then rinse repeat a few times going through feb.

Yeah. I def don’t want a repeat of March 2013. That would finish us off

Noticing the wind direction in some eastern areas is beginning to change to a NE or ENE.

Something to keep an eye on for some on this thread, wind direction will determine which way precipitation is heading.

Some interesting radar watching in the next few hours to come.
