Yes and that is likely to drop south. I think there are a few actually in the game tonight especially north Dorset. Its turning to snow quicker in many areas far sooner than forecast.

I would say the cold is undercutting quicker than forecast tonight. Wouldn't even be surprised if IOW actually get something early hours. It's going to be close I feel for few areas in North and east Dorset.

If the colder air is supposed to be coming in from the NE, why is there a large area of rain in the SE corner with a band of snow further west?

The dewpoint isn't really moving at the moment but the temperature here has stopped rising and in the last few minutes has dropped slightly.

Seems to be this area of precipitation that is turning to snow as the cold air undercuts. Could well be a covering

Just walked the puppy and it’s definitely got a chill to the air now and a very slight breeze stirring.

Beautiful day here today, spent it outside fitting a door... actually got slightly sunburnt?! Was crazy thinking tomorrow might not even be above freezing, or for the next 3 days at that fact!

Expecting some snowfall here, dusting to maybe a few CMs at most using a blend of models. Rain so far with winds picking up from the NE.

Currently 5.5°C, DP 3.4°C.

It was clear to see from the get go it was far more west and timing was wrong when precip came in. Clear to see a quicker undercut is happening too. Watch what happens the moment those winds turn to the north. Snow line will drop further South.

Temp has risen to 4.1C and DP is 3.3C so hope that drops quickly before the ppn hits. Also hope the ppn stays intact. Fingers crossed, cider flowing, sausage baps on hold for now.
