IF Donald Trump struggled to build a wall to keep out "American aliens", why did he not ask us for tips after we built the M4, coz it keeps out the cold weather!

Usually those systems slip south by quite a long way, hopefully that big fat blob that's modelled to bury East Anglia will slide down this way and cover right up to the tip of the Lizard.

If anyone's ever down that way, can highly recommend The Lizard Cafe down by the lifeboat station at the Lizard.

It hasn’t reached 3c yet today, 2.8c currently. An utterly drab nothing day.

I guess the approaching warm front will shake things up. Hopefully some sun in the morning!

Don’t venture into the model thread there’s a huge South East party going on with the latest ECM run. Although likely to get really cold I can’t see our area benefiting much from this Easterly spell with regards to big snow falls. We are relying on organised fronts or snow showers developing and making it across this far west. We may have to wait for a potential breakdown of the cold spell from a front coming up from the SW before we hit the snow jackpot.

Never say never...its forecast 6 days away. There was meltdown in there earlier over one mild run . Fingers crossed we all get a slice of the pie.

Dull start and 4.4mm of rain 1am to 3am
Was 7.2c at midnight.
Now 10.3c, WSW 10-12mph, 995.4 hPa

January rain total was 89mm

Have we had a downgrade this morning?
Last few days forecasts showed light snow from Sunday Night through to Monday afternoon for our area.
This morning the snow has been removed from Met Office and other forecasts for our area Sunday/Monday.

I here we might see snow .......hmmm when I'm chasing woolly mammoths off my snowy tundra of a doorstep I'll start getting excited ❄ ⛄

Snow's back on for Monday in Cornwall - well, Netweather and the BBC say so. The MetOffice is a spoilsport and says cold rain, which is probably more likely. Back to dreaming of 2018, I suppose.

Yes very different to this point yesterday. It was 3C and grey at this point, today it’s hit 11C with sunny spells.

Looks like a summer style shower on the way though and darkening sky to the SW.

You would think that there have been downgrades this afternoon if you go into the Mod thread. I'm actually liking the way it's going... more chance of the legendary channel low popping up for the SW & Wales. Still way off that yet but it's been a good day IMO.
