Radar looking really odd in places, looks a bit broken? Good coverings up on the hills. The snow down here is melting as the intensity is not strong enough now. If it were one degree colder this would be amazing. Still lots of chances left this winter

We had a burst of moderate snow falling but it failed to settle, just a bit too warm on the ground I guess. Nothing falling at the moment.

That's where the model monster lives, he blows hot and cold just to make sure you never take him and his mates too seriously.

Sleety here. Too wet for any of the earlier snow to settle... currently 2.0°C

Still snowing lightly here, we've got a couple of cm's on all surfaces.

Hubby's car looks like there's a demonic pig sticking his snout out through the bonnet.

Hi Noggin, how's life treating you? All good I hope. Yes they're in pots, they're my babies, two round, two conical; I grew them from 2inch cuttings I took over 20 years ago now. I have to have a strict quarantine regime with them, always avoid them when I've been to work and never use the same tools there/here as virtually all the Box at work has been wiped out by Box Blight. I've also got Box balls in the borders, also from cuttings, a few years ago one of them was struck by blight so I cut it back to the trunk, no green left at all with the intention of removing it in the autumn. The bare trunk sprouted before I got round to taking it out, it came back clear of blight and has been thriving ever since. Phew!

Talking of work....I'm supposed to be working now doing my other job (making stuff) requires 100% focus and concentration to needle felt, working with very sharp barbed needles and snow falling outside the window is a recipe for stabbing fingers,

They are fabulous! I have a nice buxus hedge, but struggle with the ones in pots. They always have cream/bronze tips and I think that maybe the pots are too large and that the compost is, therefore, too wet. Perhaps I will downsize their pots in the Spring!

I am fine, thank you, hope that you are too! I haven't been on for a while as I couldn't remember my password, but have written it down now! My grandson is coming up to 3, March 2nd, I'll never forget the horror getting my daughter to hospital in all that snow and of us all being stranded in various parts of Somerset! Nor do I forget your very kind offer of help!

Today's snow didn't really come to much here, didn't even settle! Have a horrible feeling that next week will be another damp squib, but it will do what it will do! Best wishes to you and your family!

More rain.. another month with an above average total.  124.4mm at the moment. Lower and upper Frome on flood alert..

2.7°C.

Can join you there on the rain front. 85mm has fallen this month and still it falls.

2.6°C even with NE'ly winds. The air just not cold enough at the moment.

With more rain due tomorrow night and Wednesday... flooding is becoming a concern over here too.

It must some esoteric scenario involving the hula hoops.... but that doesn’t explain the snow around it though.

Simples, look at the size of it. It's half a brick so that means it's only half as cold as the other two, WHICH means it is twice as warm, so therefore, it will need to get colder before it actually lets snow settle....Glad to help...
