Temp predictions are way off for here. The Met Office currently have me down for 2°C. In reality, it's 6°C.

National forecast did say 5/6 around some coasts.

Does any one know what's up with the strange radar cone that starts West of Winchester and covers the area? I used to think it was just odd, but today it's clearly showing the weather for somewhere else if you look at the last hour? It's there on other radar services not just nw

I dunno but the stupid triangle comes up loads and really pees me off!

.. by around 2 - 3pm

BBC saying -5°C by tomorrow morning, that's just garbage. A bit like the heavy snow symbols it was showing this morning despite it piddling down with rain.

I expect -7 or lower over snow cover so I expect its based on expectation of snowcover?

Nice and toasty at 4.8c, just in time for the showers to turn up. Nothing but rain.

Ended up with around 5.5-6cm all told, got a little bit lucky with the back-building as the front passed over and being just the right side of marginal, the flakes were huuuge!

Bit of a power-melt going on, as expected, but it was lovely to see.

Hope anyone who has yet to get snow does so soon.

Nice seeing all the pictures in here this morning. Meanwhile here it’s devoid of anything interesting as usual with nothing but rain earlier.

Big hugs mate. Go for a walk up to the forest?

About 20 mins. It started as rain, then pellets so wasn't very pleasant. Also, I've managed to break the patio door, so can't out that way now, otherwise I would have been out again when it started properly.

Glad you got some in the end.

Currently snowing on BBC1 at the Chelsea game for anyone that's forgotten what it looks like. Edit : It was. It's stopped now.

Looking at the radar it looks like there's a little circulation forming from that band out in the Bristol Channel.

Wonder if the Mendips could get a refresh.  Shower heading over there now with more to come by looks of things.

All staying to south of Bristol at moment though.

Yep. Looks likely. Touched 5c here, so any precip likely to be rain here.

It is beginning to cloud over here now.

Just got in from a lovely long walk with the dogs, it's perfect snowman snow, very sticky, my poor old boys ended up dragging HUGE snowballs on every foot and dangling from their tummies, had to keep stopping and breaking them off.

Thawing well here, bit concerned that anything incoming will be rain that washes the snow away, not convinced it's cold enough to snow now unless it's really heavy.

Drove from Poole to Shaftsbury surprising the amount of snow in places before Blandford, around 5cm on the higher blandford road further towards shaftsbury, we stopped

at view point near compton Abbas 228m there was a good covering.

The precip in the B Channel is really intensifying; some of our area is either going to get a good soaking or a pasting (likely south of here one would expect).
