Is the snow good where you are? Thinking of a quick walk in the Mendips.

A good couple of inches here, not dripping yet but it doesn't feel that cold out there so expect a thaw during the day.

Just heavy rain here between 7am to 8am, now drizzly rain.
Was odd with a low of -1.5c at 2:30am, the temp was 1c at 6am and rose quickly during that 7-8am rain spell to 4c.
Temp in last hour has dropped to 2.3c, but rising again. Now 3.2c.

Heard a few very loud thunderclaps just before that rain came through too.

Would have been happy with sleet, but we didn't even get that

Possibly some of the biggest flakes I've ever seen.  Couple of inches has come down in about 1h in Basingstoke.  The video doesn't do it justice but here it is at the start.

Exeter just had "cold rain" as far as I could see.

No chance of catching up on 15 pages since last night!

Around 3 to 4 inches of snow in Warminster, we caught the heaviest batch after 6am.

One over excited 4 year old!

BBC Weather were on the money here, rained on and off for most of the night, very heavy at times and still raining now! It seems a miracle is required for snow down these parts

Hopefully many of you will get you enjoy a nice covering today

Despite nothing settling, this has possibly been the most interesting morning of weather I've ever witnessed.

Starting with thunder, we've had graupel, freezing rain, rain, sleet, snow and ice pellets all in the space of a few hours

Everything turned into an absolute ice rink now outside - frozen rain falling onto frozen surfaces... not a good mix!!

Keep the photos and videos coming please everyone!!

Think I’m going to have to have a gander up on the Blackdowns or Quantocks this morning......

About 3 inches in Stroud (I’m in the lowest part of town, so the hill tops will have quite a bit more). Not bad for less than 2 hours! Proper crunchy snow, which tbh I prefer to powder snow, however pretty that looks falling.
Very happy, but what a shame it didn’t pivot an hour ago! Maybe a little more later, just hope this sticks around for the day....

I can see the Quantocks are blanketed from my bedroom window!
