Probably rain near the coast. It's very marginal:/

Has it turned wintry at all in Exeter?

Okay just had a power nap and a glass of wine. ☃️☃️Things seem to be still looking good for Bristol area no more moves north please.

Now you've just got to look for gaps in the radar.

North Coast different story than south. On the beaches, sleet at worst yeah, but otherwise snow imo.

Looks like rain all along the south coast. Wind ahead of the front is from the south not enough land time to cool down, until well inland

Can confirm snow is falling and a wet covering on all surfaces. outskirts of Torbay ~1.5 miles from coast.

Would hope so. I think if it hits your area, you'll do well. ppn being fed in from the south. Uppers about minus 4.

What snow amounts do you think we'll see? I'm only expecting a dusting after all the let downs.

Temperature got down to -3.5°C earlier. Now it is up to -1.4°C with dewpoint of -1°C. We have rain, but it is slowly transitioning to something more wintery. The fact that it has started off as rain is surprising though.

It’s definitely trying, some flakes mixed in with the rain now here!

Convection is cruising on through though :(. I am impressed with how well I timed my alarm with the precipitation but dissapointed at what is falling so far.

Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks, “what a waste of all that precipitation”!

I’m encouraged by the fact Matt in Wellington had the full switch over to snow and I’m hoping it can do the same here sometime soon...

That’s crazy how it’s raining instead yet so cold .
good luck everyone . Looks like transition from rain to snow for many , am expecting same here rain as we’re not million miles away from Taunton .

Yeah, both the temperature and dew point are the right side of freezing but I guess the upper air temps are too high? Fingers crossed for it to change but I can see where this is going

Pockets of warm 850s. The air aloft is pretty volatile.

Yes, just our luck down here! All stations on Wunderground all reporting 0C still and obviously DP’s below that, so it is rather frustrating.

We are in a valley mind and I don’t think that ever helps in these marginal set ups.

Yeah, temp and dew point are below freezing, for once, whilst there is precipitation! But something else is stopping this being a whiteout. I suspect milder upper air temps at a guess.
