And yet report of heavy snow in Plymouth from Plymsnow. Maybe give it a bit for heavier precipitation?

Heavier precipitation definitely helped, turned to sleet now.

Hey I'm just glad you saw some snow.  That's what we eek out out of the south west thread year on year.

I think the hot stuff coming off the Channel is coming to Bristol. Please don't give us that stupid gap currently over Barnstaple.

Well it was mainly rain at 30 m above sea level in Plymouth. Wind went from ESE to SW minutes after the rain started and a jump in temp from 0.7 to 3.7 C within 20 minutes.

I think the pivot will leave a line of snow over quite a few. It's intensified quite a lot. A line from Cardiff to Portsmouth / IOW looks good (100 mile band of snow). Think it'll pivot on that line but I kinda suspect that the pivot will keep moving North a bit ( a break off trough/low heading North East.

Heavy snow here

Heavy snow? Where? On the top of Plymouth's tallest building? I live in the Milllbay area and it's pure, heavy, (as per norm) cold rain...

That was an hour to 2 hours back and the rainfall intensity was big then. I'm taking his word for it.

Wow I think this is meso-cyclogenic. Proper dump incoming Bristol. 5/10cms. Up to 20 on "the Edge"

Gutted... but happy for you! Pouring with rain here!

Jeez Jay, you have sleety green under Cardiff. I think you moved somewhere higher? You should be in for a good chance dude.
