Actually might have that 0.5cm already, quite heavy here now.  Might have to raise my target to 1cm.

EDIT - stopped now.  Going to be icy in the morning.

Moderate sleet here.  Was expecting zero precipitation though, has come further east than forecast.

Current temp 1.4C. A sixth near miss of the week means still not seen any falling snow. Honestly, the way any heavier precipitation that might contain a few flakes goes out of its way to avoid this area is laughable:

Crap again.

1.3C in Soton and falling slowly. DP -1.4C so I guess it's on a knife edge. Not sure if the drizzle approaching will warm things up or not?

Edit: The green blobs in the centre of the blobs would seem to indicate that the heavier rain can lower the temps so that bodes well. Wouldn't it be nice to have cold and ppn at the same time?!

Good luck!

Are we expecting a drop in temps later? The radar looks full of precipitation tonight

Absolutely, it’s just they didn’t give rain today, so I’m hoping for a drop in temps later then maybe later in the night might get something wintery, temps still to high here x

Seeing lots of posts on social media of the snow falling and settling in Bristol but nothing here in North Somerset yet. Looks like the first opportunity at snow falling is dodging us to the east. All eyes on what's further north if it carries on moving due south.

Another heavier band at mo in mid-Wales, but i guess the Brecons will zap it before it reaches here.

IF it takes a similiar path to the ones we just had it will skim to the east of the Brecons and down through the Forest of Dean.  All big IFs though.

Light rain in Southampton, but with the very odd sleety bit. Temp now 1.0C and DP still -1.4C.

Judging by the short-range models we should be keeping our eye on the stuff Birmingham eastwards, since the flow is turning more NE'ly.

Yeah, the upper steering winds look to have changed up north now so I'm not sure if there is much else on offer for our region soon.

Evening all, snowing well here, best snow so far. Everything is already turning white, keeping everything crossed that the showers up country hit this area too. Fingers crossed we all get to see something.

Well, unless there's going to be 4 or 5" of snow and it hangs around for a week, I ain't interested!

Snowing outside! Took my 5 year old out naked - made her put my coat on lol. We stood on the patio and opened our mouths to catch it and she ate it off the arm of my coat lol
