Precip charts look even better for us this morning if they are to be believed but this is now within 60+ hours. Lots of snow chances and look at this for midweek with the cold wrapping around that low. I really hope this comes off for all of you in the East. Just a slight shift West and we would all be buried. Lol

One to watch for sure....also UKMO and GFS have -5 upper air line well South end of the week...ECM messier....if UKMO and GFS are correct expected snow chances out to weekend either in showers or other disturbances ....still think any warm up if it occurs will be short lived... Para is a beauty

If it happens I will gladly take it, meto app going for dry, met eireann app going for dry (imby) but then again these apps aren't the most reliable,  so fingers crossed GFS is right

If that verifies on Thursday the 21st I’m going to be split. On one hand it’s snowed brilliant but on the other hand I have to get a crowd together, hunt down MS an burn him as a witch! Not easy to do under Covid regulations.

Just before we go all pitchforks and torches I think we should press him for the lotto numbers

Wonder why that wee patch is showing at the bottom of Lough Neagh?

Random computer projection?

Decent runs today with snow chances across the island.

Oh good stuff, I tried reading the model thread but seeing certain posters posting put me off straight away

I accepted a long time ago that there is a SE England bias.

But the weather, the real weather, couldn't give a stuff what you, me, or even Mahatma Gandhi happen to prefer . . . just like Evolution by Natural Selection, weather is as unbiased as it is unpredictable; it cares not a jot, for individuals' petty preferences??

Sorry guys . . . I thought we were in the MAD thread! imagine head-banging emoticon!

Met Eireann forecast for tomorrow night on their website mentions snow on high ground in the Irish sea  ....thats a new one

Anyway, models show cold out to Monday with snow chances in places and sharp frosts st night....unless models flip soon, looks like turning milder Monday evening / night or Tuesday...but for how long....

Even the Sea has more chance of getting snow that we do.

It's showing on the 6z GFS. The higher hills will get a good lot from this..

Thursday morning on higher ground..

This rain is much further North than forecast but about 100 miles. It wasn't meant to get to North of Lough Neagh, but look at it.

Now, the colder air will be cutting into the North of this, so as it pushes back South there may be a chance of snow on the top edge. Low risk, but you never know,
