I have to say, it is quite rare for frontal snow here in Bangor, but that is twice this winter so far we have had some.

Photo doesn't do it justice here but id day this is close to a foot out the front of my house. Going to go out and do a proper measurement after my boiled eggs and toast!

Coming down here now - Carrickfergus - Radar showing lots more coming in. Just starting to lie. Threw some bread out for the blackbirds - the resident spaniel is disgusted

My resident spaniel is tormented by a family of grey squirrels but is currently zzzzzzzzz

And we have go, everything turning white in literally seconds here. Footpaths and roads included.

No a while pile of snow here. Was expecting more to be honest and it looks like the back end of the front is approaching. Was nice to see proper Blizzard conditions earlier.

I knew you would win the competition Sperrin, unfortunately precipitation mostly fizzled by the time got here so not much need for a ruler just yet!

Snow stopped now. Lasted 6 hours or so. Around 3 inches of powdery windblown snow. Brilliant snow event and will be a shame to see it all melt.

Very unusual to get such drifting snow over here, we're usually covered in wet NW snow. Really is beautiful out there. Took my youngest 2 out for a play, they last 10 mins before the freeze got to them

@booferking brilliant way to end the winter if that's it, so cool to experience a proper hours long blizzard!

Is your first photo from the golf club?
