Definitely increasing in intensity here, flakes getting bigger as well. Grassy areas getting whiter.

For the majority this is another damp squib back to chasing weekend snow charts again plenty of snow in Wales and Midlands again.

That will be the story of the winter.

We were very close to a classic though. Just the wrong side of marginal on so many occasions.

A good few hours of moderate snow here but nothing to show for it. Close but no cigar.

Same as that BigLad, hours or heavy to moderate snow and just too warm to lay. Any word on precipitation rates overnight?

Looks like rain below 200mtrs to me, maybe a very brief snowy spell before turning to rain.

GFS is rain all the way on Monday/Tuesday.

No idea where the Met office are getting their warning from.

Eastern Scotland looks fantastic though.

Snowing in Belfast.  Literally the lightest of snow. Can barely even call it snow

The radar says it should be snowing over me, but nothing doing.

The precipitation must be so light that it's evaporating before reaching the surface.

Interesting 18z, deep cold if only it’s happens. Not much snow for us in Ireland though so far!

Hope you guys up north see some snow later.....

Re models, 00z runs all end up with one thing.....a deep cold easterly next weekend......they take different routes to get there and timings vary, but all roads lead to Rome it seems... GFS much quicker than UKMO and ECM.....half way house, timing wise will prob be likely outcome ❄❄❄

Yes. The initial Easterly may be good for Central counties with just dry and cold in the North and West.

The ECM has pretty much the whole island covered in snow in ten days. Won't have seen that since 2010 I don't think..

That would be great to see. Not a fan of Easterly setups but if we can get a battleground setting up or streamers coming in then we can do quite well. Still a long way off  so we shall see what happens
