I don't,  but the GFS 18z looks a significant upgrade for NE counties.

It does indeed, but I am dubious to the intensity of the precipitation as the area of milder air mixes out. Will make my drive to Lisburn to get the daughter interesting. Particularly dropping her back in the evening should any accumulations occur and freezing.

I wouldn't have thought precipitation amounts would be of concern on the motorway.

But you never know!

I'm that snow starved I might take the scenic route.

First decent snow of the winter. Snowed heavily for half an hour and every flake has stuck. Easing now a bit.

Too right. Take the back road over the Castlereagh Hills.

My weather station says the temp is -0.4 and the dew is -4.4. The dew point seems a bit low.

Not expecting anything here but it's not to far away looking at the radar. Actually surprised at how far North the front has come.

Agreed, surprising.

We need a wee bit to break off and keep going

Would be nice but I can't complain with the amount of snow that fell last night. Barely any thaw today except just the main roads.

That rain band that caused some flooding did the same last week. Was 100 miles or so further north than forecast. Malin head was supposed to stay completely dry but rained there all day. Mad how the models can be so wrong at such a short time frame. Anyway I'm not complaining tonight ha

That animated radar has it within 10 miles of here now. It seemed to stop moving North about 2200hrs  but there is Northward momentum again and I’d almost be surprised if it didn’t reach here in the next hour.

Am I right in thinking when it finishes pushing N it will stop then sink S eastwards?

I think you are right. I think I'll stay up another 30 mins and see what happens. If it does make it then it will be very light.
