Looks like it could pass a few miles south of me. I wouldn't have minded a few showers to fill in the blanks that thawed today. At least I got lying snow today.

I am right on the Northern edge and fully expect that the snow will pass 10 miles to the South of me.

Definitely an upgrade to all forecasts here (East Antrim). With us being by the sea and this coming up from inland I’m crossing everything but we’ll be at the very upper end of things.

The NI Weather & Flood Advisory Service has issued the following weather warnings.

A warning for Snow issued for parts of Northern Ireland (See Map)
A Warning of Ice has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland (See Map)

Snow warning valid from: 22:00 23/01/2021 until 14:00 24/01/2021
Ice warning valid from 20:00 23/01/2021 until 14:00 24/01/2021

A band of Sleet & Snow is gradually moving up from the South and is likely to affect parts of NI overnight and into Sunday (See warning area) Snow most likely away from coastal areas. Accumulations possible but they will vary across the warning area with some areas seeing 1-5cm, and possible up to 10cm across areas with elevation (Especially in parts of Co Down & Co Antrim)

Sleet/Snow will clear parts of the warning area - Counties: Fermanagh, Tyrone & Armagh by sunrise.  But it is expected to continue for a time into tomorrow across parts of County Down & Co Antrim (NB - Please see map where warning is in place)

With temperatures at or below freezing, Ice will become an issue overnight in many areas.  (Again not everywhere will have Ice, especially near the coast)

Sleet/Snow combined with Ice will lead to some hazardous conditions later tonight and into Sunday.  The public should take extra care if travelling.  (especially on high level routes)

Clouding over here. Temperature up to - 2.1c. the band seems to cover a wide area of Ireland but i think it will be mostly light snow and not last that long. Any top up would be nice though.

Precipitation appears to be dying out fast judging by the radar on met.ie and if I see any at all, will be very light.

Dew point -1.8 and temp at 0.1 so anything that does fall should be white!

Fingers and toes crossed. About 10pm is my estimate for it reaching here (if it does!)

Anyone know who runs the NI weather advisory page, they must be a member as they use the charts from netweather?

I don't,  but the GFS 18z looks a significant upgrade for NE counties.
