Later tonights front further South than yesterday, looks like it only skiffs the border area. Still looks like sleet and snow for Ireland though, atm.

The North coasts continuing to see some showers throughout the day.

According to the Meto, some frequent showers possible for County Down on Sunday, but couldn't see them this far North on the county

Hi Weather Watcher...what do you think tonight's front could deposit where it hits - 1 or 2 cms or potential for more?

It’s the possible top edge of frontal snow crossing the South

Strange one. Cant see anymore than a light skiff for the far South of County Down.

Temps here briefly hit 1.6c but high cloud has drifted in and blocked the sun. Now 0.7c.

Met eireann making more of snow chances for Ulster than the met office.

Met eireann

Ulster - Very cold and frosty tonight and while it will be dry for a time, a band of sleet and snow will spread northeastwards later in the night with some accumulations. It will probably stay mostly dry though along the north coast, apart from the odd wintry shower. Lowest temperatures of -3 to 0 degrees in just light variable breezes.

Met office just say chance of sleet in snow far south come morning.

Too many let downs this Winter so far to get excited.

Will be lampost watching.

-2c here already and very little thaw of this morning's snow. That system does look alot further north than predicted.

Definitely looking further north and seems to be on course to be pushing well into Ulster...anyone want to take a guess at how far north the precipitation line will go?

I'll go along this line

We had 4-5 cm this morning and there's been very little thaw which is unusual for here. Starting to freeze out there already.

Looks further north alright ......expected to divot and slide south east wards later...Hopefully everyone sees some of the snow action  tonight and tomorrow......I have snow in  my garden since yesterday morning here in South Kilkenny from a front that was not forecast to come anywhere near us - so radar and lamppost watching from here on in is the best bet ....

My wife rearranged our bedroom recently so now I can't lap post watch from bed anymore. Said I was tired earlier and she told me if I stopped getting out of bed all night to look out the window for snow I wouldn't be so tired
