Currently 4.0c, DP falling at 0.0c and we have blue skies and a light breeze.

My bum paid the price of a rash desire to fill the bird feeders. Luckily the tits escaped injury. As did the robin.

Just had a wee graupel shower which has now turned to the tiniest of snowflakes! Wasn't expecting that!

Ooo another Met Office Warning. No good for me, but they are suggesting many in the West are going to see *some* snow, even at low levels.

Just been out with the dog up Bennachie, gave up reaching the Mither Tap as I kept falling through the windslab into chest deep powder and the dog was starting to ice over in the spindrift!

Made it to the top of Craigshannoch though.

Awwww, he/she doesn't look the happiest there. Our dog walker was up Sui Hill somewhere and said it was deep, I fancy a decent walk tomorrow as we've been stuck in front of PCs for the last 3 days so I'll maybe see if I can persuade the wife to go as far as the top of one of the Correen Hills. She doesn't mind a snowy walk but isn't one for ploughing though deep stuff.

Got hit by a heavy shower not long ago which left another extra few mm on the driveway. Another on the radar heading from the NW which might clip us if it makes it this far.  Temperature has been sat between 1 and 0.5C most of the day but the dewpoint has dropped to -1.3C

I was just going to idly post, yay a snow shower, then see @Snowandrocks has been out with a willing hound - best dog photos I seen in a long time.  Give him blanket!

Out filling the bird feeders (again) after forcing off the seed bin lid which felt like it was welded on.    I have the clear tube variety with 4 feeding stations on each  x 3.   Just witnessed pigeons, performing all sorts of aerobatics but managing successfully to feed from them.   Any suggestions?   It's costing a small fortune!   I do scatter seed on the ground for them but it obviously isn't enough.

Anyhoo, I digress!

Ice still a problem as no thaw at all here which is another of those anomalies this winter as temperatures have hovered around 2+ from mid morning.  

Currently 2.3c/0.1c/986.8/SW/5mph.

Nice moderate shower of snow on just now.Seems  to be a bit of streamer coming from the west coast so there may go on for a while.Very fine powdery flakes now at 0.5c.Not often we get lucky  with a NW wind as Ben Wyvis usually takes the showers out. Settling readily and ground looking white again.

She loves the snow and spent most of the walk leaping through drifts like a loon but it was pretty grim at the point we gave up! Suie hill should be good I imagine.

After the damp and dreich start to the morning, a rapid improvement from late morning to leave a lovely sunny afternoon.

Reached a high of 2.2c and now down to 0.7c, looks like a frost for the first time in a few nights.

Bennachie lovely as ever in its winter coat..

Looks like there were some airforce exercises over the North Sea this morning going by the multitude of circular contrails that could be seen...

Clear blue skies and sunshine do make up for the lack of snow!

Looking at this afternoon runs, quite a change compared to this morning run especially from GFS with milder air now struggling to push into Scotland around midweek. Still agreement to be firmed up on snow over this weekend and then we have temperatures really dropping tomorrow night into Sunday - I know I keep saying it but really is good winter for most of us lot but understand down south maybe not so much.

Yes, checked it out! There's more likelihood of it being sleet or graupel here but if it's white, it's alright!

I think it’s great when folks get so excited for snow . One of the reasons this place gets so busy when it snows . Keep posting ur excitement !!!!!!!

Really nice bright sunny day. And more of the same on offer over the weekend 

Temperature got up to 4c, currently 1c.

@Mair Snaw Just wait til I get a snowfall. I’m going to need my own thread!
