The current level of snowcover...

Which the Met Office and company are determined to get rid of with a deluge of rain over the next 48 hours...

Currently 0.5c, calm and total Permagloom™.

Morning all, snowfall in Banchory didn’t amount to much, maybe as little as a cm and it’s that wet stuff...but it still looks pretty in the garden and covers what’s left of the dogs’ ice speedway

Temperatures have only risen since midnight, now sitting at 0.8c with DP at -0.1c. Pressure still falling, currently 986.79hPa.

Got about 2cm roughly. Even with 3 hours of moderate snow it didn’t mount much even with 0.1C during most of it.

Great to see many of us getting some snow overnight. In the end we just had a light covering here, no more than a cm. Still, even that was an unexpected bonus. 

Given we got snow last night, interested to see what tonight brings, but as usual here, best to expect nothing and anything else is a bonus!

Currently 1C, with light rain and mist.

Yes and most of eastern Scotland, good 4 hours of snow again it seems. Though latest Icon is less keen. 06z runs will be crucial but regardless its going to be a nowcast event.

Only concern is the current Met Office precipitation map on the APP does not match with this latest run - still shows all the detail from the 03z run! 
So maybe this 06z is for the bin!? Or they have yet to update the APP!

Oh well another promising start last night turned to rain in the early hours as a lot of cover washed away. Looking forward to seeing what tonight brings. XCweather had snow on all day for us last night, now seems to be dry for the next 3 days.

Been snowing here for a couple of hours but not really settling despite the ground being frozen solid - air temp is around 1C and DP will be the same.  Oh and damn yer baws, wet or dry. Could be a different matter up the hill though.

Doesn’t look to bad, little bit of wind but no “ Blizzards “ , although later in the night into daylight hours it looks to pick up with gusts of 30-40mph, but no snow around really.

Thank you that's a pity from a personal preference, love to watch strong wind and snow together.

A wet intermittent covering here - down to 0.2C overnight. Even at bedtime (22.30) it was still only sleeting but just travel one mile and it's winter wonderland. All a bit weird.

Similar here. There was wet snow last night but no covering whatsoever. A few miles and a couple of hundred metres elevation up the road and Newton Mearns is plastered seemingly.

Not many photos today due to Team calls and worksheets! 

Over 3 inches and still snowing lightly. A decent enough view out the back now the tree's gone. Start of the Pentlands just visible in the background.

There's not a lot here, it was melting as it was falling through the night and the slushy covering on the pavements has melted. There is still a covering on grass/cars and it's snizzling at the moment. The top end of mearns is 200m though so I would suspect they have a bit more snow cover.

Loving looking at all the snow pictures. Certainly helps with missing out again in the snow starved north east.
