Ladies and gentlemen you are not going to believe it. After a wait of almost 3 years... 😮

I don't suppose I have anything to complain about this winter...      .

I've waited years to get a picture of the house covered with snow.  Finally!

Yes it has been really decent without any huge falls, just lots of frequent top-ups with the cold never leaving. Reminds me a bit of winters growing up in the late 70’s to mid 80’s when the snow or ice never seemed to really depart before it turned much colder again with further snowfalls.

Oh for an old fashioned winter again....🤞

Not forgetting the decent fall at the start of December! Kids getting dragged up Warklaw Hill again tomorrow. A slog to get up but great craic once you're there!

I like it because it's generally quiet as it's a fair walk up. Good choice of 'runs' and a solid fence if Dad fails to stop it! Otherwise the kids are back in Juniper Green! 🤣😂

I’ll need to try it out. Another good run for the younger kids is down on the lower slopes at the Herriot Watt campus in the secret garden. We had a good afternoon there on New Year’s Day. 👍

    Radar still looking good.

Kids went to Heriot Watt with their cousins. They loved it. Good safe spot. Work can wait tomorrow! If I'm forced to work from home and it snows......well.....😀

Same. Meto just extended the warning to include Glasgow. We have 2-3 inches of snow already!

I'm glad I rolled out my "Snow" graphic for the 1st time this winter for my forecast earlier for my FB page

not used to all this white stuff 🤣, proper powder snow as well. I have had enough snow over the last month that I will properly have to wait another 5 years now haha.

With just a peek out into the dark I'd say there's at least 5cm lying here, I'll check the depth properly when it comes to clearing the driveway. Looks like 2nd best fall of snow this winter, out of 4 decent falls. Not turning out too bad for some of us so far.

Temp is currently -2.1C and the forecast is for it not to get much above zero again today, and then very cold overnight into Sat. Also forecast to be a sunny day so it's going to be glorious.

    Morning all,

Great to see more folks (and some of the usual suspects😉) get snow! @Mair Snaw delighted you have a couple of cm.

Despite an hour or so of decent snowfall yesterday evening we fell foul of the wet bulb (baw) temperature and have nothing more than a thin lair of frozen slush on the ground. It is however the coldest morning of the winter here at -1.7c currently.

Edit: snow level here is about 80m, higher ground just inland is gloriously white. 😪
