Good evening Snaw  Blinded Kilties! So good to see all the reports and photies coming in! Over here in the far, far west we've had gin clear skies, fresh, fresh highland air and a wee touch o' frost! BRAW! I don't mind that we're not getting any snaw here, I'm happy with what we have. At least I can drive from A to B without having to dig masel oot!  Happy days, eh?  No need for me to look out my brand new snaw shovel, I may just have to scrape the ice off the windscreen! Enjoy it all Kilties and keep the piccies coming! ❄️❄️

Tell them to wibble off! This doesn't happen every year

In a bit of a lull here just now in the gap between the heavier showers that have moved a bit South and the lighter shower stream coming down from further North. Just an odd flurry for now but I think some beefier showers coming soon. From this afternoon.

Good stuff about to look at radar as lull been 2 hours now

Love that video used to walk that street every day on my way to the Harris.

South of fourth isn’t ideal for us but great for you

we have been missing the heavy stuff in the last hour or so as they are going north or south of here

Hitting me on your South

In the next break in the snow I'll jump out and get a level depth best I can

Think Im changing my mind on the area of precipitation out to the east of me it's a curious feature ,it was dying of but seems like it's building and might intensify soon it's as if two areas of cloud hitting into each other in a convergence of a sort ,anyone able to explain it ?

I was trying to stay positive (because obviously that plays a role in the outcome of weather ), but had changed my mind to it going to come to nothing. However I see what you mean, but looks to me not quite intense enough and will fizzle out as it nears land?

tbh if these conditions don't warrant an amber warning I'm note sure what does !

Definitely amber conditions now. ❄️

Aye it's very impressive here but no doubt it'll shift back a bit in a couple of hours. Proper whiteout conditions here!

If this keeps up I think the Amber area will be extended ❄️

And current Amber areas up to red?

Was brought up in Highland Perthshire myself so have moved in the opposite direction. My kids went to the Harris though. Those streets up from Perth Road are a nightmare in the snow.

Just the odd very light shower here.. the radar looks very light to me for my area, everything is either going south and intensifying or around me and then intensifying...going to be a ver frustrating few days for my location i feel..
