Yep, meto extended the warning west about an hour ago and missed Glasgow and most of Ayrshire. Its got to happen now.. Surely??

Snowing here with everything white, I think we've already had more snow than last night in about half an hour!

Ive actually got what you might describe as the slightest of dustings..

The mood in the mad house is a bit up and down.. some saying scotlands in for a right old pasting others saying not...

Snowing lightly here at 1.1C

Just a shame the initial heavier lot was sleety for us even though it was actually colder then

Heaviest snow of the winter falling now, must have a few cms. Really nice watching the huge flakes fall down in the still air rather than blowing around

Still coming down here! Probably as heavy as it's been this evening!

Yeah the snow seems to have intensified after crossing the Forth.

That 18z model run was crazy with widespread 50-60cm snow depths across Scotland.

We’re going to need a bigger piste basher for the resort!

Seriously heavy snow! Good 2/3cms already! Amazing when nothing forecast!

I wasn't planning a sledging session tomorrow but it's game on now! What an end to a really decent couple of weeks here!

Yes it has been really decent without any huge falls, just lots of frequent top-ups with the cold never leaving. Reminds me a bit of winters growing up in the late 70’s to mid 80’s when the snow or ice never seemed to really depart before it turned much colder again with further snowfalls.

Oh for an old fashioned winter again....

Not forgetting the decent fall at the start of December! Kids getting dragged up Warklaw Hill again tomorrow. A slog to get up but great craic once you're there!

Sounds good, haven’t tried there.

I like it because it's generally quiet as it's a fair walk up. Good choice of 'runs' and a solid fence if Dad fails to stop it! Otherwise the kids are back in Juniper Green!

I’ll need to try it out. Another good run for the younger kids is down on the lower slopes at the Herriot Watt campus in the secret garden. We had a good afternoon there on New Year’s Day.

Radar still looking good.

Kids went to Heriot Watt with their cousins. They loved it. Good safe spot. Work can wait tomorrow! If I'm forced to work from home and it snows......well.....
