Even Mrs Mair Snaw is trolling me from the bathroom.. "its raing again" she says then follows it up with a WhatsApp "how come my friends have snaw and we dont" ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฅ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

Rain in Edinburgh , not even sleet ๐Ÿ˜ข

guess we will have to see if later next week the conditions become more favourable but as Iโ€™ve said my rule of thumb for easterlies here has always been -10 uppers and were a fair bit away from that just now ..

Similar here except it's my mother constantly going on about how we're favoured here with sea air, how wonderfully mild it is, how lucky we are, endlessly. Grates, dunnit?

Isn't Mongolia one of the driest places on Earth?

Still falling as snow here but I suspect it might be the last shower falling as snow for a while as it's wetter snow than earlier this morning. Temp is just below at -0.3c.ย

So different to here. 2.6C and rising.

First walk of 2021. Stayed local and went to the River Cart, which is a 5 minute walk from our front door and then onto Linn Park.ย

Wouldnโ€™t have been possible without the slip on crampons on our boots. It was extremely icy out there. ย

I haven't been down there for years, is it possible to walk to Linn Park from Clarkston/Busby ?

    • Cold waves hitting Europe continue to threaten growers, is there a link to climate change?

Much of Europe, not just the UK, has experienced unseasonably cold weather since the Easter Weekend. A plunge of cold arctic air brought by northerly winds early last week brought several nights of frost and even snow across large swathes of Europe, followed by another wave of cold arctic air spreads across much of Europe this week. The frosts causing damage to new growth in vineyards and orchardsa0spurred on by a late March heatwave, the vineyards of France werea0particularly badly affected.

High pressure rules, but still chilly out the sun & watch out for a few showers

High pressure in charge for the rest of the week but the airmass will be chilly, so feeling nippy out of the sun. Not entirely dry either, with scattered showers around the next few days, especially in the west. Read the full update here

You'll need your coat because it's still cold out of the sun

More April snow for Monday morning with a widespread frost. If you have outdoor plans this week, the chill in the air remains especially once the sun goes down. Read the full update here
