So I have just taken the liberty to count the forecasted precipitation from noon tomorrow untill midnight Tuesday on NW forecast

31 mm there abouts

so 31cm now I even know that is a stretch

more than here, have had 1 or 2 moderate ish snow showers and a covering now. Some beefy stuff moving into NE Fife heading my way now. The whole band you see across E Scotland will slowly, i mean slowly move S over the next couple days.

@MAXcrazystorm @edo not much lying here, showers are clipping us at the moment

Currently clear and frosty at -2c some of the fine snow that fell this morning has disppeared but ground remained dry and frozen all day. Seems like there was a bit of sublimation  going on here today.Condensation finally going on the single glazed windows as air has got dryer all day.

But I’ve been patient for nearly three years. It gets boring

Only one ell in 'til. Short for until, you see. This gets published outside Fife you know. Best to get it right.

Thanks for that...   I can assure you that it is now cemented in my brain alongside the other cement!

Going by the radar I thought you'd have been snowed under...well, at least half a dozen flakes

They’re tracking to the north of me at present. But hopefully I’ll have a covering by morning!

The A90 just West of Dundee at Longforgan just now. Someof this must beheading your wayI think. Either that or if you are unlucky may just miss to your North and hit Edo.

thats unreal so quickly into the start of the spell, not normally a snowy spot.

One thing to watch - if we do manage to keep things going through to Wednesday night, the -40C (threshold for polar low formation and the like) 500hPa temperatures start coming into the North Sea:

How is this one looking @LomondSnowstorm on the latest runs? So much going on over next few days so apologies if you haven't had chance to have a wee look

I actually decided not to be lazy and had a wee look . Got it (I think) and looks good still?

Oh dear. Hope it goes well.

Meanwhile, dash and blast it, I've seriously miscalculated on the beer/sport front. It's only blooming Superbowl night and I've left myself with just three more bottles to get through four hours plus of American football. Onto the malt then...

It could be an unsettled night here too.

Where's the game? Los Angeles?  If so, aren't they about 8 hrs behind GMT?   So what time will you be watching then?

I was just thinking cornflakes and malt
