Good bit of snow here in dundee this morning, currently snowing at the moment

Seems like there’s been a little snowfall to the north, south and even west of here but nothing here of course. If there’s snow on the ground at Carnoustie that’s an encouraging sign.

It’s 2.5c currently.

Slight cover of snow in Aberdeen this morning from 5 minute isolated shower at 6.30am - it appears east coast showers have fallen down to sea level judging by other poster reports.

Morning all...a wee dusting here as well, after an overnight low of -1.1deg/C its now +0.2deg/C there are a few heavy looking shower clouds around, the radar is showing them coming straight off the sea heading in land.

Well we have a sgnificant dusting this morning brought by a ENE wind overnight our ideal wind direction and one which used to be very common in the Februarys of the sixties resulting in iron hard frozen ground but ideal for cutting back whins ,broom and trees ready for spring operations in the fields. Currently bright, a light ENE wind and -1c. Its just the coastal strip that caught last nights showers as there are  some fields just to the south of  us that are still green.

I think for me as a grumpy old farmer the most negative side of this freeze /thaw cycle of these past five weeks has been the bone chilling dampness with the wet days just a  few degrees above freezing you got soaked and chilled right through. even with masses of layers of clothes Relief comes on the days when it stays frosty when it tends to dry up.

A dusting here this morning and just had a wee burst of snow (direct hit from the pink blob on the radar). It's been one of the snowiest winters I've experienced up here. Not in terms of depth of snow but number of snow days. Little and often as opposed to snowmageddon.

Another one with a slight dusting, which I initially thought was just frost. Currently fairly bright, calm with the temp sitting at -0.1/-1.7C after an overnight low of -1.8C.

Even if we catch a shower here it’s not going to stick, just too exposed to the sea at 3c/1c. Nevertheless nice to see other east coasties getting a little of the white stuff!

Lovely start to the day with a 50:50 mix of sunshine and cloud.

The slightest dusting of snow overnight to whiten things up and quite a lot of hoar frost as well.

Viciously cold last night and the coldest so far this year at -7.1c; currently -4.1c.

Bird feeders popular as ever, Robins fighting like fury over them as well...

There seems to be a line of showers, they die on approach then pep up along the Forth, 2 direct hits this morning. I think LSS said the flow could keep going till this evening

Roughly -7! -5 to -6 far West and small pockets of -8 up North.

Shetland Islands are having a lovely spell of Winter weather - sure we had a member on here who used to post from there?

About -7c I think. Current air temperature here bang on 3c. That 10c difference is pretty standard here when there’s a maritime influence. Which is why I need -10c 850s in an easterly for snow on the immediate coast!

The sensible bet is on the Met forecast for the same period
