Looks like last day of snow today before milder air / rain comes in tomorrow.   Absolutely biting wind off the coast today.  A lot of drifting just a bit further inland I believe.

A morning trip up to Whitelee with some great skies. Surprisingly quiet also which was a bonus.

Currently under a green blob on the radar but only the smallest and lightest of flakes blowing in the wind.

I was out at 08:30 this morning to get my covid jab and a combination of the cold and the wind made wearing a short sleeved shirt and waistcoat feel slightly foolish. Should have put trousers on.

Temperature now -0.8deg.C (maybe an ice day!) up from a minimum of -3.4deg.C at 01:13, humidity 63%, wind 2 to 8mph southerly with a max gust of 15mph at 04:14, pressure 1027.8hPa falling slowly, it's currently snizzling under 8/8 cloud cover and the dew point is at -7deg.C.

Beers are lined up for the rugby this afternoon, strap in, here we go again.

Tiny, tiny flakes of something blawin' sideyways oot there! Might be snaw, might be graupel, who knows? It's blawin' through too fast on the wind for me to get a decent look at it! Current temp is 2.7c but the wind chill ...

The radar and forecast says heavy snow at the moment but the sky says nope...

Took a walk up Warklaw Hill (278m) in Currie this morning! What a difference a bit of wind makes! Previously cleared farm tracks were buried under anything up to 1.5m of snow, walls disappeared and a previously great sledging hill scoured down to the grass! The wind chill was quite brutal but we had great fun just messing around in the drifts!

Snow falling here too, small flakes but starting to cover up the areas where snow had melted. Won't come to much but its rare to see fresh snow on top of old snow here!

Yes same here.

Does anyone else feel a bit sad knowing that all this lovely snow will soon disappear? 

The kids have been out the last 5 days sledging and having snowball fights with friends and we have had some great walks over the last couple of days in the clear blue skies and sun making everything look beautiful in the snow. It’s been a really great winter and it’s only mid February so plenty of time left for more snow

I rarely take notice of the lightest pink in the snow radar only the darker stuff

according to the radar I should have had 2 hours of moderate to heavy snow when in fact I have barely seen a flake
