Differing forecasts tonight here between beeb and met the beeb have heavy snow showers all night the met have a light shower at some point in the night I'm inclined to go with the met but can see the potential off the German north coast to feed a good few showers on a stiffening south east wind ,as ever time will tell .

The BBC have heavy snow showers for Edinburgh tomorrow too but really cannot see them coming this far west

-6c now at the Straiton resort

Taypark house as you have never seen before We can't wait to welcome you amazing people back to our little gem here in Dundee #dundeecity #dundee...

Saw this from Taypark House from yesterday. You would never know that is just off Perth Road in Dundee. Looks more like the countryside in Central Europe.

Yeah that's true, we only have a river.

Google says we are about 18 miles from the Sea (straight line), and we are at 154m ASL.

We are about 30 miles from Edinburgh (straight line).

I've only 2 miles or so from the sea so it's got little land to cover still snowing but I have my doubts it will stay that way inland 5 miles definitely snow curtain busy time again

Guys, I know it's not Scotland - or weather related but -

Google "Dartmoor national park fire"

Goodness! my brother's house is on the edge of Dartmoor.  He goes walking there every other day.   Didn't know about this.   (kinda had other things going on!)

I better give him a call.

There are wild fires on west coast too. While we have all been getting snow on east coast it’s been bone dry over there in the far west

Snowing but a bit wet. My understanding is there a bit of a milder sector and parameters improve later in the night. Snow compacting. Fear for my gutters! On the bright side, the sledging will be fast tomorrow!

Snowing again here now and has covered any gaps back up.  -1.8C so doesn't appear to be mild...
