Is not often living next to the Forth is a major bonus when it comes to snow

Has been a proper stream overhead for last 30 mins , looks a fair bit to go yet

I agree. Doesn’t happen very often. I need to get from Bo’ness to South Queensferry in the morning. Could be an interesting drive!

The same bloody colour as the radar!! I knew it. It’s been staring us in the face and we never knew until now. To be fair I think Mr Blobby doing the forecast would make more sense than most of them

Right. Time to call it! That last short, sharp shower, along with a light flurry earlier, has left roughly 1.5cm so that's Currie at the just over the 20cm mark

Oh yes here it comes! Looks about an hours worth coming in the next 10/15 mins hopefully and it looks like it could be fair dump too! Pray to blobby and blobby will duly deliver

Looking at the radar and it's not hard to imagine somewhere in the Central Belt getting a right pasting later! Some really beefy showers way out in the North Sea that seem to be getting slowly pulled towards the Forth!

@Kirkcaldy Weather recommended me a decent one a while back. Not bought it yet but here's the link with the info:

Right, just for fun and I’m keeping to Fife only, there’s too many on the thread these days for a full round up!

Snowfall predictions tonight through Wednesday (total snowfall):

@Benvironment 30cm

@Big Innes Madori 25cm

@Blitzen 20cm

@Kirkcaldy Weather 12cm

@ghoneym 10cm

@LomondSnowstorm (Fife location) 18cm

@Snowlover2 20cm

@Hawesy <drum roll> 5cm

Ach I’ll throw in Dundee too:

@Norrance 15cm

@Sawel 20cm

Apologies to anyone I’ve missed out!

Bringing this back to review (original post Saturday). Some over/under estimation (and definitely under for Dundee) but overall I don’t think I need to hang my head in shame!

Amazing stuff hitting Coatbridge now, after a few near misses this is a hell of a thing with a potential direct hit

I should catch that as it moves westwards! Fingers crossed anyway haha

Showers are just exploding into life as they hit land from the forth estuary.

That massive blob just there erupted from something which appeared quite insignificant.

Great to watch the showers exploding into life from very little.

Notice how this particular blob doubled in size within 10 minutes. Definitely being enhanced in the Firth.

My god what is the blob towards Edinburgh doing, absurd intensity!

Still very heavy stuff here, brilliant if this is the end of it.
