3cm additional snowfall since 11am 

13cm total on the ground!

Nice one Joe  Could you hang about a bit to capture the air ambulance shot? My boy went sledging up there an hour ago with his daft pals. I did suggest he join the genteel middle classes over on the polished slopes at Bruntsfield Links but teenage idiocy has prevailed. Fingers crossed.

End result. Hunners of streamers out there. Big issue might be the high pressure building from the north and keeping some of these blobs offshore in th coming hours ??

Heavy graupel has turned into heavy snow here now Aberdeen. I had cleared my path earlier, it has now disappeared.

just seen windy Wilson saying rain in Perth and Dundee tomorrow night barely looked at anything except radar for three days...Is this a possibility??

Went out a wee walk and timed it nice as sat and watched that "big" blob incoming. First picture shows this incoming. Came across outdoor art on my way home.

Second photo is main road which gritter passed by 5mins before this photo

Heavy Baltic oot there!

There's presumably some raw model output that resolves graupel as rain because of the shallow warm layer. But no serious weather watcher would look at the -12C uppers around and say "aye that looks like rain to me"
