Nice blob developing, just hope it can hold its line through to Edinburgh.

It’s good to see there are some intense showers still developing maybe a few surprises later ❄️

Snow just started again in Banchory, looks like it could give us another decent amount.

Definitely, although the realist in me keeps reminding me that they keep dying as they move through East Lothian.

Fingers crossed.

Just missed a shower by about a mile...had 4 flakes float past the window..lol. still looks like plenty to come for many of us.

Think this evening is not without interest.

Now at 8” here and it is big, heavy flakes. Keep digging out the car in anticipation of trying to get to work tomorrow morning! Radar looking like it’s keeping coming.

Wind map and weather forecast

Not sure if that changes where the convergence zone sets up but obviously there's a massive one in the North Sea east of Dundee this afternoon, where the Ne'ly breeze meets the E'ly maybe?

What does that mean for us in central belt

The fourth is really firing up the showers now and all look due east

Yup. In all honestly it looks like it'll get worse before it eases off throughout the night.

Stunning shower for the last hour, intensity is superb and depth has rocketed up to 22cm.

We didn't clear the drive this morning as there was only a covering and it was the same when I got back from walking the dog around 2pm. It started snowing not long after, and I've just measured 8cm outside the front door, which I'd say has all fallen in the last 2hrs. I'm not surprised that the likes of Aberdeen, and especially Dundee, are chaos since they have been under similar blobs much more frequently.

Nice wee shower here - although nothing compared to elsewhere - will be short sadly. Just not in the game today so far.

Aye. Other areas north of here, west of here doing much better. Game not over yet but locally this could end up being a kind of mid-table easterly performance. Not up with the best here but ho-hum, no greetin' about it

It could intensify the showers coming over the forth and boom into Edinburgh.

I’ll emphasis the word  “could’

10cm+ here in Kemnay in just the last hour not seen the likes for a decade or so
