Is it just me or has the line of shower moved north again? Looks like dumdee down to perth going to be hit in an hour...?

Hang on... I'm confused. Yesty the amber warning was put in place around 10.30 am. I remember scuttling into hubby's home office to tell him we were just on the edge of it. Or did I just dream that and the amber just got put in place? Or is it an update to the area affected?

image.thumb.png.0dd03485ce8d65afb1ac99f3e87549f4.pngwonder if that's because the lot in the red circle appears to be headed for Edinburgh - Glasgow (if it dives south again I think its not gonna be our day)

It just got extended into Dundee and the Lothians. I think yesterday Livingston was Amber or just on the edge of Amber.

Oh my this blob is generating enough snaw to warrant a amber warning - heaviest yet, amazeballs!

I'm not convinced that blob circled in red is heading that way, I'd say Perth down to North Fife

The big blob due east looks to hit Edinburgh full on in the next hour ❄️❄️

I haven't had a chance to catch up in here from overnight as work has been manic, however I did pop outside for a quick measurement just now - 4 inches (10cm), but it seems like a lot more than that!  There is probably double that on the hill though.... very good stuff and the biggest since 2018 certainly   I'm a very happy bunny now

Would be pretty difficult not to be aware of the snow at this point

Really goes back to over a decade ago when so many of the present crew on here went through 2009-10, 2010-11 and saw how often the MetOffice couldn't even nowcast a weather warning as an event was happening, and then come out with it after the bulk of event. Kind of retrospective warnings LOL.
