Spotted this on BBC news

BBC Weather's Simon King said the temperature dropped to -15.6C in Altnaharra in Sutherland overnight.

The previous lowest temperature of the winter so far was -13C at Braemar"

The band in the NS looks to be expanding as it approaches. Less gaps as it moves east
