Not often in the UK that you see a radar like that!

Impressive and check the unbroken stream that looks like joining the A1 at Dunbar.

That blob really has delivered here, almost half an hour at pretty much the same intensity as in the video and I'm guessing an extra inch or more, definitely higher totals that even what's shown on the radar. The road that's been gritted three times tonight and the odd car rolling down the hill has a couple of inches lying on it too. I've been waiting for a wee break in the radar or intensity to sleep but not sure it's coming any time soon, really special stuff.

I also just joined the dots - the 'decaying occlusion' on the Fax charts for Thursday is actually what I think is a polar low (the core of it on the UKV is certainly sub -7C uppers)... So, aye, that could be fun too.

If that long stringy series of blobs out past Dunbar just now can make its way across the head of East Lothian then I think that's all on track for Edinburgh (currently).

That flow has been pretty consistent all night - head of East Lothian-Edinburgh-M8-Coatbridge. Possible it shifts a tiny bit north, not sure why it would but I'm almost feeling guilty at how lucky we've been on this track tonight.

Smashing it down again! Epic evening! This is what you want from an easterly, frequent and intense blizzards! 2 more blobs and bed

Ours are a lot more sporadic. We had one about 15-20mins ago. And it doesn't last long. The predictive radar says the next one isn't going to arrive until 2:40am and again, will only be around 5 minutes of snow.

you say that but always need one more hit in search of the big hit

losing intensity on radar as they reach here but plenty enough punch and this next blob looks mighty interesting for Dundee and Perth.

Went out to the gym, exactly an hour and a half between my hottub measurements and we gained an inch of level depth, can't believe how good its been!

Currently 13cm now level!

My nerves from a couple of days ago are a distant memory

I would like it to go a slight bit south, as it feels as we keep catching the very edge of these showers - at least there’ve been a few and the grass isn’t showing through any more.

Is there anything better than the mess u made in the snow having snowball fights all being filled in.... So satisfying

my 10 year old profile pic will be worthy of getting changed if this continues ....garage been converted for 7 years so about time for a new image of the house.

The drift at the back door is now an impressive 27cm. Not been out to check level depth but a fair guess at 10cm or so.

Roll another one 101, just like that other one...

(those were the days)

We had one moderate shower about 9 o'clock and tiny flurries since so there's a covering, no more. The radar suggests maybe more but fks sake it's half one.  Feed the fkn cats and find the pit.

Your amber warning doesn't even start for another 90mins  and check the blob heading your way

@101_North have you had a look at the predictive radar? The blob due over Edinburgh at 4:05am is massive!

although i cant remember last time had a warning and it was justified, not met bashing just seems to be the way, looks very justified this time unless at 3am the North Sea says thats plenty.
