You definitely have more snow than here as it’s making that trudging noise when you walk on it. Not had enough here to be able to do that.

Crazy the difference over a matter of 5-10 miles

Heavy ish horizontal snow for the last 20 minutes here. A couple of showers earlier gave a dusting but it's maybe more like half an inch now.

Fax chart for 1800 tomorrow (issued at 2218) shows the convergence line still over the central belt !

Then on Friday we get some sort of front from the NE!

Was mentioning that just up the thread.... could be interesting

I've been tracking the big blob by drawing a felt tip pen around it every 5 minutes (god help me). Its at the mouth of the estuary now. I still can't tell if its going to be a direct hit for Edinburgh or a hefty sideways skelp with the centre hitting nearer to South Queensferry-Boness

If that one misses us the ones behind probably won’t ! Should be a good night but given I got about 3 hours sleep after watching the super bowl I can’t keep my eyes open any longer !

I’m starting to struggle to see how 20cm plus will be possible here

Still loads of time yet. Still got right through til early hours Wednesday morning and then anything can happen after that too.

I've not measured but I reckon we'll be at the 10cm mark by now, plenty more to come for many

* Lining up nicely for Cumbernauld just now

@aggy the 'big snow' for your area is forecast for tomorrow, this doesn't mean it's definitely going to happen but it should be a decent event for you

Says @CatchMyDrift currently messaging from his hand built igloo/snow bunker in Canada - lucky bugger

Bit of a lull between showers. Depth wise we're around 8cm level. Step out the back door though and that bit of the garden is currently drifted to 20cm!
