Had a couple of very good nights in the Fife Arms. Used to angle for team building exercises up there in Winter times. Meanwhile here light snow after a heavier shower and some chaos on the roads again.

Was hoping for the showers to be more frequent and/or increase intensity but this one that has just passed over has delivered it’s verdict.

Hey, if sustained hurricane force winds on the Isle of Lewis didn't merit a red warning a few inches of snow on the M8 isn't worth moving the warning time and extent for

I wonder if it’s to do with the country being in lockdown,, they won’t be expecting the normal traffic levels to warrant a red warning

Looking at the pressure charts on the UKV it's remarkable how consistent the positioning and even angle of the 1016hPa line is:

It moves north a little through the night and straightens out a bit (good for those further west I'd think?) then back south a bit, but if this is right this might somehow continue in a similar vein through tomorrow, aside from a slackening of the flow from the north.

The showers are just a touch south each time to the point I caught the bottom edge of the last one. Unfortunately it was losing its intensity, but at least I join the party!

It might be for that reason they won’t give a red warning..but surely for the sake of the people getting jag they might put out a red warning to stop them risking there life

I dunno, they were pretty fast to slap an amber warning on the SE of the UK.... And they definitely shouldn't be moving about down there....

Another thing to add with continued snow through most of tomorrow, is the temperatures which really drop away tomorrow night and especially Wednesday, MO have my location down as minus 7 and not rising above 0 during Wednesday at all. As someone mentioned earlier should hopefully mean snow stays around for most of this week.

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall.
